Welcome to Moderately Functional, a blog about managing diabetes, ADHD, weight, health, and life — without pretending I have it all together. Because I don’t. Not even close.
This space started as a way to get things out of my head and into the world, mostly so I’d stop spiraling about it at 11 p.m. on a Tuesday. It’s a mix of personal reflections, hard-won lessons, medical truths, and a dash of sarcasm.
What’s “moderately functional” mean?
It means I’m trying. I’m showing up. Some days are great. Others are duct-taped together with caffeine, Ritalin, and a stubborn refusal to give up. It’s about progress that doesn’t require a glow-up montage or a TED Talk. Just real, imperfect change.
I don’t have a transformation plan or “5 Secrets to Fix Your Life”.
But I do have stories. And a healthy dose of executive function issues.
So, let’s start there.
